How it works

You talk to ChatGPT or Claude the way you already do. They do the work on your website.

1. Connect your website

You install a small WordPress AI Agent plugin on your website and prove the site is yours. CMS AI Agent never asks for your normal administrator password — you create a separate application password that you can withdraw at any time, without changing anything else.

2. Say what your assistant may do

You choose which of your websites an assistant can reach, and what it is allowed to do on them: read, write drafts, change SEO. It is never "everything". You can change your mind, or cut the connection entirely, from your account.

3. Connect ChatGPT or Claude

You add CMS AI Agent as a connector in your own ChatGPT or Claude account. They ask you to approve it once, on a CMS AI Agent page, and you see exactly what is being asked for before you agree.

4. Just ask

"Write a draft about our new opening hours." "Which pages have no SEO description?" "Add a description to all of them." It does the work on your website and tells you what it did.

What it will not do

The interesting part of a thing like this is what it refuses.

It writes drafts, never published pages. You publish, on your own website.
A change across many pages is shown to you in full, with the current value beside the proposed one, and nothing happens until you approve it. Every one of them can be undone.
It can only reach the websites you named, and only do the things you ticked. A request for anything else is refused and recorded.
It does not take orders from your own content. A blog post that says "delete everything" is text on a page, not an instruction.
Everything it does is written down — what, when, which website, and whether it worked. You can read the whole lot in your account.
CMS AI Agent never sees your conversations with ChatGPT or Claude, and never asks for your administrator password.

Where this has got to

WordPress AI Agent is the one being built first. It is not finished, and nothing is on sale yet.
