Joomla AI Extension
If you went looking for a Joomla AI extension, this is the page you wanted. It explains exactly what Joomla AI Agent is on Joomla, what goes onto your site, and what does not.
Is there a Joomla extension to install?
No, and that is deliberate. Nothing of ours goes onto your Joomla site. Joomla AI Agent works through Joomla’s own published interface, which means there is no code of ours running on your server, nothing to keep updated, and nothing left behind if you stop using it.
What you actually do instead
A Joomla API Token, generated against one user account under Users → Manage. There is no password to hand over, and deleting the token ends the access.
Two plugins have to be enabled in Joomla first — Web Services - Content, and API Authentication - Web Services Joomla Token — which is the step most people miss.
What the platform does not allow
Joomla publishes an article by default, so a state is always sent explicitly to keep new work unpublished. Joomla has no redirect API of the kind this product manages elsewhere.
Why it works this way
Installing software on somebody’s website is a liability: it has to be updated, it can break on an upgrade, and it keeps running after they stop paying. Where Joomla gives us a published interface, using it is better for you than giving you one more thing to maintain.
Everything above describes what Joomla’s interface offers. None of it is marked verified yet, which in this product means exercised against a live installation with the date recorded.
Common questions
Where do I download the Joomla AI extension?
There is nothing to download unless the section above says otherwise. You connect your Joomla site from your account here, and the connection is what does the work.
Will it slow my Joomla site down?
Nothing of ours runs on your Joomla site unless the section above says otherwise, so there is nothing of ours to slow it down. Requests arrive from outside, like any other client of your Joomla interface.
What happens on my Joomla site if I cancel?
Your content stays exactly as it is. You revoke the credential you created, and that is the end of it — nothing of ours remains behind to remove.
